Psoriatic Disease impacts millions of people around the world. Most have Psoriasis, an immune-mediated skin disease caused by systemic inflammation. That inflammation manifests in the overproduction of skin cells most commonly in the form of plaques.
Psoriatic Arthritis affects a subset of those with Psoriasis causing inflammation in joints and entheses. Most notable symptoms are pain, tenderness and swelling in the joints or entheses especially in the finger and toes.
